The Australian Orthopaedic Association and James Cook University scholarship is jointly offered by AOA and James Cook University. The scholarship will be awarded annually to an undergraduate medical student with an exceptional academic record and will assist in funding a supervised orthopaedic clinical attachment in Australia or overseas.

Eligibility Requirements

If all the below statements describe you and your current situation, you can apply for this scholarship: I am an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent visa holder; I am currently enrolled in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery year 5 and will be enrolled in year 6 in the following year; I have been approved, or am planning, to undertake a supervised orthopaedic clinical placement for my elective term in year 6; and I have maintained a course GPA of 5.0 or above at the time of application.
