This unit is part of the Health Training Package. It describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education. Oral communication skills are needed in order to make an accurate verbal report to emergency response services and workplace supervisor.

Established in 2005, KARBEN Training Solutions (KTS) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering nationally recognised qualifications for the Early Childhood, School Age, Individual Support, Business and Training and Assessment industries. The qualifications are offered through the NSW Traineeship program, fee for service private enrolments, various State funded Training Programs such as Smart and Skilled and a wide variety of short professional development courses. Training is delivered via classroom-based, blended (distance) and workplace-based pathways. KTS strives to achieve excellent completion rates. Its trainers and assessors are industry professionals and are available to assist students throughout the completion of their chosen vocation. Upon completion of a qualification students will receive a Qualification Testamur and/or Statement of Attainment, which are nationally recognised.
