It involves the skills and knowledge required to use pilot and escort communications equipment and resources, in accordance with relevant state/territory roads and traffic authority licence/permit requirements and regulations. It includes deploying/operating equipment to communicate with drivers of oversized/overmassed vehicles and other relevant personnel during pilot and escort duties, and maintaining all required records. Work is performed with limited or minimum supervision, with limited accountability and responsibility for self and others in achieving the prescribed outcomes.
