Prepare to help your community with La Trobe's Diploma in Health Sciences. Whether you're looking for a supported pathway into the Bachelor of Health Sciences or if you want to head straight into entry level jobs in health services and organizations, we can give you the skills and knowledge you need. Explore the social and psychological impacts of health and science. You'll learn the fundamentals of health sciences, including human structure and function, concepts in contemporary health and wellbeing, and how to use data and statistics in health. You'll study the same core health subjects as our bachelor's degree students, so you'll immerse yourself in university life from day one. What's more, you could earn up to one years' worth of course credit (also called advanced standing) for the subjects you study. This could enable you to enter directly into the second year of a La Trobe Bachelor of Health Sciences.

Entry requirements
- Recent secondary education - VTAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (20) - Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
- Recent secondary education - UAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (Band 3) - equivalent to VCE 25 - One of English Standard, English Advanced (Band 3), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 4).
- Non Year 12 - Vocational Education & Training: VET prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
- Non Year 12 - Higher Education study: HE prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
- International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
