Our new double degree aims to develop graduates to work in a business, community, commerce or government setting where skills of critical analysis, problem solving and communication are highly valued. Alongside a solid grounding in business disciplines, you'll combine understandings of accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing with well-developed humanities research and communication skills. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside business professionals and learn about new technology and innovative sustainability practices. You'll graduate with highly sought after skill sets by combining an arts major with a range of business and commerce subjects. Choose from majors in English, history or sociology at all regional campuses, in addition to human geography and Indonesian language and culture at the Bendigo campus. The qualification awarded on graduation is recognised in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 7 - Bachelor Degree.

Structure

To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts, students must complete 480 credit points consisting of: 180 credit points of Business requirements, of which: 60 core credit-points One, 120 credit point major to be selected from business majors

Standard entry requirements

  • Recent secondary education - VTAC prerequisite: Year 12 English prerequisite (20) - Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
  • Recent secondary education - UAC prerequisite: Year 12 subject prerequisite - One of English Standard, English Advanced (Band 2), English as an Additional Language or Dialect (Band 3).
  • Non Year 12 - Vocational Education & Training: VET prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
  • Non Year 12 - Higher Education study: HE prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
  • International: IELTS - (6.0 < 6.0) (UG standard/minimum) - 6.0 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.
