This program combines specialist finance knowledge with the understanding of essential management techniques. The MFA facilitates entry into a range of challenging and rewarding careers, and provides a pathway to several designations of professional excellence within the investment industry. The MBA gives students the skills to solve problems creatively in order to achieve optimum results for the organisation.

Structure

Students must complete 20 subjects, each worth 15 credit points. Students also need to submit an e-Portfolio each year.

Standard entry requirements

  • Australian Bachelor's degree or international equivalent, with a minimum C grade (60%) average in the final year and three years' relevant managerial experience
  • Applicants with more than eight years of relevant managerial experience but without an undergraduate degree may be considered for professional entry
  • NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place
  • Entry into all La Trobe courses is based on competitive selection and there may be limited places available.

Recognition

The Master of Business Administration has EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Professional registration may require an application to the professional body and may have additional or ongoing requirements beyond the completion of the degree.
