Structure

To qualify for the award of Master of Information and Communication Technology, students must complete 195 credit points consisting of: Industry project pathway 135 core credit-points and 30 core-choice credit points and 30 elective credit points or Research Thesis pathway 135 core credit-points and 60 core-choice credit points

Standard entry requirements

  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - Specialisation - compulsory: Computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or communication/telecommunication engineering with a substantial learning in computer science content.
  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Course specific requirements - WAM - Weighted Average Mark (WAM) 60%
  • Postgraduate: Prerequisites - Undergraduate requirements - Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent).
  • International: IELTS - 6.5 < 6.0 (PG minimum) - 6.5 IELTS (Academic) with no individual band less than 6.0.

Recognition

The Master of Information and Communication Technology is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Graduates of the Master of Information and Communication Technology may apply for membership with the ACS.
