This fully online degree aims to give students the unique skills required to create smart business opportunities and drive innovation across a broad range of business settings. There is also scope to explore business innovation within an international context. Students will learn from academic staff who bring a wealth of research and hands-on professional experience in areas including technology innovation, sport entrepreneurship and international entrepreneurship. Students will learn how to look at businesses and organisations from a variety of perspectives, covering areas such as managerial psychology and decision sciences, strategic management, entrepreneurship, innovation management, and leadership. There is also the opportunity to complete an independent research thesis project. Graduates will have what it takes to develop innovative business plans, manage entrepreneurial activities, and create sustainable business ventures.

Structure

Students must complete 16 subjects totalling 240 credit points. This includes eight core subjects, four specialisation subjects and four elective subjects. The course is delivered online with six intakes per year. The duration of the course is 1 year of full-time studies for cognate students and 1.5 years for non-cognate students.

Standard entry requirements

  • Successful completion of an Australian Bachelor degree (or its equivalent)
  • Prior learning developed through relevant work experience or professional accreditation, where it is deemed to be at least equivalent to that obtained through a Bachelor degree, may be considered. In making an offer to an applicant, the University will give consideration to a range of factors to determine whether an applicant has demonstrated the capacity to work at a Master's level, including academic record, English proficiency, and/or employment experience. NB: Meeting minimum prerequisites does not guarantee an offer of a place

Recognition

Graduates of the Master of Management (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) (Online) may apply for membership with the International Society for Professional Innovation Management. Membership may be subject to additional or ongoing requirements beyond completion of the degree. Please contact the relevant professional body for details.
