La Trobe University is supporting students who are experiencing disadvantage and undertaking an internship/work placement by offering the opportunity to apply for an Industry Placement Bursary. Work-based learning (WBL) is a great opportunity to explore areas of interest in a professional setting and gain industry experience. Plus, if you’re successful in securing a bursary, you’ll receive a one-off payment of $1100.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must: be a La Trobe student studying at a La Trobe campus note: partner institution enrolled students are not eligible for this payment.; be enrolled in a placement subject and commencing an internship/work placement during one of the above assessment periods. PLEASE NOTE: The placement needs to have commenced anytime during one of the three assessment periods but does not have to be completed in that period.; meet criteria for any or all of these: financial, medical and/or educational disadvantage. Ensure you include evidence to support these claims in your application. For more information on the types of supporting evidence required refer to "Eligibility Criteria Definitions".; have a confirmed placement listed in InPlace.; minimum 70 hours in duration for a single placement - multiple placements less than 70 hours will not be considered.
