Established in 1974, Laverton Community Education Centre is a Registered Training Organisation located in the heart of Melbourne's western suburbs, just 5 minutes from Laverton train station. It has been offering quality training and education to the community for 40 years. The Education Centre is the training arm for the Laverton Community Integrated Services Inc. which is a not for profit community organisation and together with the Laverton Community Centre and Laverton Community Children's Centre, aims to provide a holistic services to assist participants to achieve their potential. Students has access to a Children's Centre with long day care, alternative care, toy library, playgroups and kindergarten as well as community centre crisis intervention services and health and wellbeing programs. Laverton Community Education Centre is strongly committed to ensuring that the Centre: is a place for everyone regardless of race, age, gender, culture or ability; takes affirmative action to support and include under-represented groups; encourages and supports empowerment of members.
