This program will provide students with a solid business understanding and the skills to practice as a qualified accountant. Accounting is the collection, measurement and communication of economic information which is used for planning, reporting and decision making. Accountants are employed in all areas of commerce, industry and government. Students will study important business areas including marketing, management, statistics, computing and human resource management. It will also prepare them to practice as an accountant by studying techniques and elements of finance, management, microeconomics and auditing.

The BBusAdmin is a popular general management degree designed for students who wish to pursue a career in business management whilst leaving open the option of further specialization. It is very broadly based, both in the scope of its core units and in the range and flexibility of choices of electives. The professional accounting program is accredited by CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA), enabling graduates to apply for Associate Membership (ASA) of CPA Australia, entry to the ICAA's Charted Accountant (CA) Program (provided the work related criterion is met) and Associate Membership (ANIA) of the NIA.
