The Diploma of Speech & Communication is designed for students who are interested in a career in speech pathology, have completed a Bachelor degree in an unrelated field and have therefore not completed the pre-requisite subjects required for entry into the Master of Speech & Language Pathology program. It provides a pathway for students who do not have speech and hearing related undergraduate studies to cover the essential background knowledge required for entry into the Master of Speech & Language Pathology (MSLP). The course provides fundamental knowledge in the areas of linguistics, psychology, language acquisition and speech physiology.
