The International Relations component is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding of the political, social, economic and legal components and processes of the international system. There is an emphasis on understanding how these components and institutions operate in specific regions of the world. The International Communication component explains the flow of information and ideas around the world. A range of theories, concepts and methods are used to examine and critically analyse how communication flows intersect with general socio-cultural, political and economic processes of nations, groups and global entities.
