Certificate II in Retail Services

MADEC Community College

This qualification is part of the Retail Services Training Package. It reflects the role of frontline retail team members who use a defined and limited range of operational skills to undertake workplace activities. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks and work under direct supervision of others. It provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings including specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants. Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline team member, customer service assistant and point-of-sale operator.

12 units: 7 core; 5 elective

Established in 1969, MADEC Community College is a Registered Training Organisation. It delivers a broad range of fee-for-service and government-funded programs for job seekers, industry, business, government and the Aboriginal and general communities. Programs range from workshops to Diploma level. Delivery sites are located in Victoria and South Australia.
