Susan Haggard was born in 1930 to a farming family in Merriwa, NSW. At 15, she and her family relocated to their new farm in Berwick, Victoria. Sue loved all aspects of farming life. After finishing boarding school, Sue returned home to the family farm where she often spoke of her years managing and working as a hands-on farmer especially when women were not recognized as farmers. The Estate of Susan Margaret Haggard aims to support a female student studying in their second/third year at Marcus Oldham College. Enabled by this scholarship, this Estate, in partnership with Marcus Oldham College, is investing in the education of a highly enthusiastic and determined woman.

Eligibility Requirements

A financially assisted scholarship specifically for an Australian female student commencing their final year at Marcus Oldham College studying one of the academic programs.; The successful recipient will demonstrate: Demonstrated passion in agribusiness, agriculture, or equine management, Highly driven and motivated, Need for financial support.
