Masters in Building Training

This qualification is part of the Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package. It provides a trade outcome in construction of formwork and falsework, covering work in residential and commercial applications.

Entry Requirements:

An apprenticeship contract is strongly recommended.

Structure:

25 units: 19 core; 6 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Use carpentry tools and equipment; Handle carpentry materials; Erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on ground; Construct, erect and dismantle formwork for stairs and ramps; Erect and dismantle formwork to suspended slabs, columns, beams and walls; Carry out general demolition of minor building structures; Carry out setting out; Carry out levelling operations; Work effectively and sustainably in the construction industry; Carry out excavation; plus more and electives.

Further information:

Completion of the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work is required before entering a construction work site. Achievement of unit CPCCOHS1001A covers this requirement.
