This qualification is part of the Metal and Engineering Training Package. It is for people who want to be trained as locksmiths. Students will gain the competencies required by a tradesperson working in this area. Students will acquire skills and knowledge in workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality procedures and systems and planning, engineering measurement, computations and computer technology plus the technical skills and knowledge required by locksmiths. Students will also learn how to install and repair locks and related equipment.
