This program provides students with sound knowledge of the theories and practices required to work professionally in visual arts industries, along with excellent research, communication and critical thinking skills developed through exploring a range of Arts disciplines. Graduates of this degree will be equipped for a variety of visual arts roles as well as interdisciplinary careers such as art therapy and cultural arts programs.

Entry Requirements:

Equivalent Australian Year 12; VCE Units 3 and 4, a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of at least 30 in one of Art or Studio Arts; Selection via ATAR; Selection for non-year 12 applicants via portfolio submission and interview


The Arts component comprises an arts major, an arts minor in a different area of study and 4 arts elective units. The Visual Arts component comprises 5 core units, 2 art history and theory units, and additional studies in a major studio stream.
