Comprehensive and flexible, this program offers students a range of options to help them develop the skills they'll need to have a successful business career. Whether students are creative, people-focused or have a passion for numbers, in business there is something for everyone. Students develop broad business knowledge along with expertise in their chosen area of business practice. Students develop critical thinking, communication and negotiation skills. With 10 majors, students have genuine diversity and depth of choice. The course also provides added flexibility by allowing students to wait until their second year before selecting a major, which means students are not locked in when students enrol. The business world is challenging, fast-paced and constantly evolving. From finance to food, engineering to entertainment, every industry needs people with business skills. Whether students are interested in working for a large corporation, managing a business or becoming an entrepreneur, they need to know how to thrive in a competitive industry. Additional opportunities, such as international exchange, internships and leadership programs are also available, to give students practical experience before they graduate.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics, or 25 in any other mathematics

Structure:

The course consists of 24 units (144 points) eight business specified study units (48 points) will provide you with a broad foundation for your study of business, an eight unit business listed major from a specified list, and eight free elective units (48 points) which will enable you to further develop knowledge of your chosen major, or business more broadly, or study a second major. Alternatively you can select units from across the university in which you are eligible to enrol.

Further information:

Students can use their professional skills to work in general management and operations, or become a leader in their chosen field. It gives a broad range of career options in fields such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, consulting, government, international business and taxation. This course is also available as a double degree and can be combined with Accounting, Arts, Banking and Finance, Design, Education (Honours), Fine Art, Information Technology, International Business, Marketing or Media Communication.
