This course leads to two separate degrees. Students will be awarded: the Bachelor of Business and the Bachelor of Accounting. Students will gain all the benefits of each degree course and be fully equipped to pursue a career in a broad range of business fields both in Australia and around the world. Students can develop essential skills in key fields, or expand their opportunities by developing skills across interconnected industries. Students could consider pairing accounting with a major in Banking and Finance to build wide reaching skills across the financial sector; or Economics and business strategy to maximise returns on investment and improve bottom lines for businesses. The Business course is comprehensive and flexible with 10 majors. Accounting is a rewarding career path with many opportunities and possibilities. Accountants are needed in large and small companies across all industries. As an accountant, students can have a variety of roles or work in any number of specialist areas such as tax, auditing, budgeting, forensics or liquidation. Additional opportunities, such as international exchange, internships and leadership programs are also available, to give students practical experience before students graduate.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and Units 3 & 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods (any) or Specialist Mathematics, or 25 in Further Mathematics


Students must complete 192 points, of which 96 points are from the Bachelor of Business (including all the requirements in Part A and B for the single degree) and 96 points from the Bachelor of Accounting (including all of the requirements in Part A, B and C for the single degree).

A double degree course in Business gives students the opportunity to do more; they can study complementary areas to enable genuine depth of study across business disciplines, build a portfolio of skills by studying different disciplines and tailor their degree to increase their employability. This combination will expand their career prospects and provide students with the skills to thrive in the business world.


This course may allow graduates to satisfy the educational requirements of various professional registrations and memberships. On completion, students may meet the accreditation requirements to be a practising accountant.
