This program offers students a broad education in the field of commerce, with a strong emphasis on developing analytical and technical skills, and will prepare students to operate at the top of their chosen profession. The degree has a flexible structure, allowing students to combine core subjects with up to two majors, and students can wait until the second year before selecting a major. Commerce is integral to all facets of the economy. It encompasses the diverse and rapidly changing activities of the world, including decision-making, leadership, innovation and policy development. In this course, students will develop broad commercial knowledge and acquire expertise in a particular discipline. With 10 majors to choose from and 12 double degree options on offer, students will have genuine depth and diversity of choice. Their learning experience is enhanced through a range of co-curricular activities that develop critical thinking, communication and negotiation skills, such as international exchange and internships, to give students practical experience before they graduate.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and a study score of at least 25 in Mathematical Methods (any) or Specialist Mathematics


The course consists of 24 units (144 points). This includes eight commerce specified study units (48 points) which provides students with a broad foundation for their study, an eight unit commerce listed major, and eight free elective study units (48 points) which will enable students to further develop their knowledge of their chosen major or business more broadly or study a second major. Alternatively students can select units from across the university in which they are eligible to enrol.
