This program is designed for students who aspire to be leaders in creating social change and enables them to apply the knowledge they acquire to global challenges facing cultures and communities throughout the world, such as, peace and conflict; the rich-poor gap; and crime and justice. Some features of the program include: core unit focus on leadership development; broad range of multidisciplinary electives; an overseas study component; the choice of three specialisations, International studies, International relations, and Global cultural literacies (includes a language major); and the option of a double degree with Commerce or Science. Underpinning this is a focus on the practical application of knowledge and skills to real life scenarios, which could be an internship or a research project. The course cultivate a rich understanding of the interplay of local, regional and global forces. It will equip students with sharp analytical skills and flexible, imaginative and well-informed approaches to global challenges and underlying complexities.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12; VCE Units 3 and 4, a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or 25 in any other English


Arts specialisation in International Studies, International Relations, Human Rights or Cultural Competence (includes a language). Leadership for Social Change stream. Compulsory overseas component. 8 free electives which can be taken from Arts or another faculty, such as, Business, Science or IT.
