This Business specialist degree provides students with the analytic, creative and strategic skills to be a specialist marketer. Students will gain comprehensive marketing knowledge and learn how to use this to make decisions that drive value for business. With a Bachelor of Marketing students will be prepared for a career across a spectrum of marketing roles and disciplines, including market research, brand management, advertising, marketing science, data analysis, customer relations, communications, digital marketing, and media relations. Marketing is a dynamic, complex activity that focuses on providing value to both organisations and consumers. With the onset of the digital age, the nature of marketing is shifting, bringing together the disciplines of data science, communication, consumer relations and brand development in order to understand the way people think, and influence and alter their purchasing behaviour. Additional opportunities, such as international exchange and internships are also available, to give students practical experience before students graduate. This course sits as part of a larger group of courses.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12 or equivalent; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or 25 in any other English, and Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in Mathematical Methods or Specialist Mathematics, or a score of at least 25 in Further Mathematics

Structure:

Students must complete 144 points of which 96 points are focused on study in your specialist area and 48 points are used to provide additional depth and breadth. Three themes: 1. Part A - Foundation business knowledge (18 points) 2. Part B - Specialist discipline knowledge and Part C, Capstone experience (78 points) 3. Part D - Elective study (48 points)

Very high achieving students will be eligible for selection to the Monash Business School Scholars Program.

At Monash students can also combine their Bachelor of Marketing as a double degree with Arts, Business or Information Technology, providing genuine diversity of study across a range of areas.
