- Successful completion of the Monash Bachelor of Nursing for those wishing to undertake a research project in nursing, or the Monash Bachelor of Midwifery or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) for those wishing to undertake a research project in midwifery, with a distinction average (at least 70%) in the final full two years of study as well as distinction average in 24 points at level 3 or above in the discipline or
- A qualification and achievement level in nursing from another institution comparable in content and academic standards.
