Master of Biomedical Science (Research )

The Master of Biomedical Science (MBiomedSci) is a research degree that may be undertaken in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences in any of the facultys principal biomedical research areas and strengths. Candidates undertake a research project under the direct supervision of a member of the academic staff. The work undertaken as part of this research degree must constitute a significant contribution to the knowledge and understanding of a field of study of direct concern to the faculty, and must demonstrate the capacity of the candidate to carry out independent research.

The students research masters project is to be conceived from the outset as clearly achievable within the standard duration of the degree, taking into consideration all elements, including any compulsory coursework required.
