Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies (Double Masters International)

This international double masters program enables you to complete the requirements of the Monash Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies (MITS), as well as a second degree with one of the partner universities. In each case, you will study one year at Monash University in Australia and one year at the partner university. On successful completion of the academic program at Monash and the academic program at the partner university, you will be eligible to graduate with the degrees from both institutions, awarded separately.

  • Jean Moulin Lyon III
  • An Australian bachelor degree with a major in French (or equivalent) with at least credit (60%) average. The level of language competence should be equivalent to at least three years university study or
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) equivalent to a major in French with at least credit (60%) average in both qualifications.
  • Kobe City University of Foreign Studies
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a major in Japanese, linguistics or literature or equivalent, with at least credit (60%) average, including Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the Common European Framework Reference (CEFT) C1 level (Proficient User effective operational proficiency). or
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) equivalent to a major in Japanese, linguistics or literature or equivalent, with at least credit (60%) average, including Japanese language proficiency equivalent to the Common European Framework Reference (CEFT) C1 level (Proficient User effective operational proficiency).
  • University of Bologna
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a major in Italian, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Indonesian or Russian (or equivalent) with at least credit (60%) average. The level of language competence should be the equivalent of at least three years university study. or
  • An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) equivalent to a major in Italian, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Korean, Indonesian or Russian with at least credit (60%) average in both qualifications.
