Whether your work is in industry, the public or community sectors, or in formal education settings, if you aspire to take the next step in your career, then this course is for you. Your leadership potential will be developed through a blend of formal and informal approaches that promote learning and transformation. You will feel confident to lead organisational learning and innovation and to unleash creativity at a time when the need for this has never been greater. This innovative course is inter-professional by nature, providing the opportunity to learn with and from a diverse range of professionals with a commitment to leading individuals and organisations. A key feature is that it offers the benefits of cross-pollination between skills and knowledge; information and understanding about different work contexts; and formal and informal learning with professionals who bring different, but complementary, knowledge and perspectives. Contemporary theories of leadership will, however, accompany highly focused study in your specialist field. You will spend the first quarter of your study on an inter-professional unit entitled 'Leadership studies' and the final quarter on the 'Leadership challenge project' relevant to your specialist interests and context. In the middle half of the course, you choose from three specialisations. Curriculum and pedagogy General leadership studies Organisational learning If you prefer to graduate with a generic, broadly applicable leadership qualification, the Master of Leadership, choose general leadership studies and select units to suit your requirements, including those in other specialisations. If you prefer to graduate with a qualification that highlights your particular leadership expertise, choose one of the other specialisations. The flexibility of the structure, with its common entry point, means you do not have to finalise your decision before being admitted to the course.
