The Master of Commercial Law is for those working in roles requiring a sound grasp of commercial law issues. Focusing on areas that include corporate and competition law, banking and finance law, and tax law, it allows students to choose from an extensive range of domestic and international commercial law units. Students will investigate contemporary law issues, practice and scholarship, and evaluate complex issues relevant to the field from theoretical, international and interdisciplinary perspectives.

Structure
8 coursework units (including at least 5 specialised units). Students without an undergraduate law degree, or who have not been granted credit, must complete the unit Australian Legal System. Students with a law degree from a non-Australian jurisdiction must complete the unit Introduction to Australian Legal Process.

Standard entry requirements
- A bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, including business, economics, commerce or another relevant discipline, with a minimum credit average
- Or a bachelor degree (or equivalent), plus either a graduate diploma or a graduate certificate (or equivalent) in law or a related discipline
- Or a bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline, plus sufficient relevant work-based experience or professional learning to provide the equivalent of a bachelor honours degree in one of those disciplines, as determined by the faculty. Students will be assessed on their entire academic record, with a credit average (or equivalent) preferred. As a general rule, those who don't have a credit average or are relying on relevant work experience to satisfy entry requirements will need to have worked for at least 2 years
