Anne Wallace Memorial Travel Grant

The Anne Wallace Memorial Travel Grant is in honour and memory of Anne Wallace. Anne Wallace was a teacher by profession - her career spanned over 40 years. She based her life on teaching others and on the pursuit of her own learning. Anne was a student of Indonesian and Malay within the Faculty of Arts between 1975 and 1978 following which she taught Indonesian at Secondary School level for 10 years.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or permanent humanitarian visa holders; be current undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) students enrolled in Indonesian studies; and be intending to travel to Indonesia to improve understanding of the Indonesian language and culture. Selection is based on academic merit and demonstrated benefit of study program.
Further details
Students must travel to Indonesia to receive the scholarship payment. Recipients will be asked to provide a progress report on the benefits of this scholarship to the donor during the year.
