Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship

The Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship was established at the bequest of Kathleen Mary Johnston to support students from the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences with accommodation costs associated with living in the Monash University Halls of Residence or Mannix College.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian or New Zealand citizens, Australian permanent residents or holders of permanent humanitarian visas; be commencing undergraduate full-time students in the Bachelor of Laws (including combined Law degrees) or MBBS; have a permanent residence that is more than 80 km from the Melbourne General Post Office; and reside at Monash Residential Services at Clayton campus or Mannix College. Selection is based on academic merit. Tenure is dependent on continued residence at MRS or Mannix College accommodation, maintenance of full-time enrolment and credit average.

The scholarship cannot be deferred. Recipients will be required to provide a one-page report for the donor at the end of the academic year, detailing achievements over the course of the year and the impact the scholarship has had on them.
Amount | $4,000 The scholarship is valued at $4,000 per year. The scholarship is tenable for up to 2 years for Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery students, and up to 5 years for Bachelor of Laws students. |
