The grant is offered to commencing MBBS students based on their academic achievement and commitment to health in the Wellington and East Gippsland Shire.
Eligibility
Applicants must: be Australian citizens, permanent residents or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; be commencing full-time study in the MBBS (including the graduate entry MBBS in Gippsland) at a Monash campus in Australia; and have been residents of the Wellington or East Gippsland shire for at least 5 years prior to tertiary study. Selection is based on academic merit, commitment to health in the Wellington and East Gippsland shire, and understanding of health issues in rural and regional Victoria.
