This unit is part of the Health Training Package. It covers the skills and knowledge required to recognise potentially hazardous manual tasks, and then to prepare for and complete those tasks in a safe manner. It applies to all workers involved in manual handling tasks.

Established in 1995, Morgan & Hay Community Services Training & Development Centre is a Registered Training Organisation. It is now part of the Maxima Group [Training Services]. They provide training in community services, home and community care, disability, mental health (non-clinical), service co-ordination and leisure and lifestyle. Short courses for employers are also offered and can assist with workforce planning and development. Classes are kept to a maximum of 15 students for internal learning and 10 students for online learning. It regularly provides training under funding from Government departments and is a 'Workready' registered provider.
