In this course you'll explore the latest issues, technology and opportunities in the field of animal health, with a strong focus on the health and well-being of domestic animals, production animals and wildlife. You'll develop the kind of teamwork, problem-solving and communication skills that are in high demand with employers and be taught by some of Australia's leading animal health experts. Murdoch University is the only city-based university in Australia with an animal production property. This means you'll have easy access to animals for your practical sessions. When you graduate, you can pursue a career in a wide range of fields, including agriculture, companion animal industries and wildlife management. You could work for the private sector, government agencies, non-government organisations, or research and development institutions.

Admission & Selection 

The path you take when you apply to Murdoch will vary depending on who you are and what you want to study. 

High school leavers:

If you’re completing high school this year, you'll need to apply through TISC. Once applications to TISC have closed, you can apply directly to Murdoch until the start of the semester.

All other applicants:

Applications can be made at any time directly to Murdoch using our online application system.

If you don’t currently meet our admission requirements, we have a range of enabling pathways, including our free enabling courses, which will qualify you to apply for any Murdoch undergraduate degree that has a minimum Selection Rank of 70.

 

Study options

Depending on your chosen course, we offer flexible study options including full-time or part-time and on-campus or online.
