Recent graduate Morgan Becker switched to Murdoch University to complete a Bachelor of Business (Marketing and Finance) where she found her niche.

"I’ve been to four universities in total, three in Perth and one in California for exchange, and Murdoch is definitely my favourite. The teaching staff go above and beyond to engage, help and build strong relationships with students."

Morgan's proudest university moment was achieving second place in the highly competitive Alpha Innovation Contest, an Australian innovation and entrepreneurship competition, for her fashion app idea, Mirror Mirror.

"I won $5,000 and met awesome, like-minded people which really opened up opportunities for networking, investment and mentoring."

Her high achieving is showing no signs of slowing down, having just been accepted into the prestigious IBM graduate program.

"Murdoch has provided me with the skills to start my own business and I can't wait to work in an innovative environment. I am super excited to see where the future will take me."

An inquisitive thinker with a love of all things health, Ben originally pursed a degree in exercise science at a competing university. Due to a dissatisfaction with the course and encouragement of his brother, Ben made the switch to Chiropractic Science at Murdoch.

"I like everything about studying at Murdoch. From the people, to the campus, to the people again! In chiro especially, I’ve got a little family. The year cohorts are really close, there’s about 90 of us and we all know each other, we hang out and do social things outside of uni all the time.

"The teaching staff at Murdoch are really personal. You’re not a number here – and I know that’s always said – but you’re really not and my experience at other universities is that you are.

“I’m really proud of the fact that I’ve found what I love, not a lot of people can say that at my age.”

Kirstie Caren began her Murdoch journey completing several undergraduate degrees. Wanting to extend her knowledge and gain training in real world techniques and methods, Kirstie enrolled in a Master of Forensic Science (Professional Practice) where she excelled.

"During my studies at Murdoch I was selected to present my honours research on bloodstain pattern analysis at the Australian New Zealand Forensic Science Society (ANZFSS) Symposium in Auckland, NZ. As a student it was an incredible opportunity to present my own research at an international conference."

Learning from academics with unparalleled industry experience, the Master course provided Kirstie with strong technical skills and the confidence to enter the workforce.

"My greatest achievement to date would be having the opportunity to put my skills into practice working as a Crime Scene Investigator. No two days have been the same and every day has provided me with an opportunity to learn something new."
