Nan Tien Institute

Established in 2009, Nan Tien Institute (NTI), located on the South Coast of NSW is an accredited Higher Education provider offering programs in Applied Buddhist studies, Health and Social Wellbeing and English Language.

NTI's vision is to provide innovative learning methodologies in Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, Technology and Buddhist Research.

Entry requirements for Nan Tien Institute

For all courses, either a Bachelor degree with a major in Humanities or Social Sciences or relevant work experience and professional training of at least three years, e.g. counselling and related areas is required.

English Language Proficiency: For applicants who have not completed substantial tertiary studies in English, IELTS (academic version only) 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each subtest or TOEFL equivalent is required.

Transfering your previous study credits

Nan Tien Institute will provide recognition of prior learning (RPL) from a recognised higher education institution (for example, a university), vocational education provider (for example, TAFE), or an accredited training agency.

Nan Tien Institute will grant maximum credit for prior learning which is consistent with a student's prospects of success in a course and minimise the workload required to complete a course.

To receive an award from Nan Tien Institute at least 50% of the full credit value of the course must be completed at Nan Tien Institute as a Nan Tien Institute student enrolled in the course.

Credit for advanced standing will be granted on a consistent basis, according to principles and precedents developed within Nan Tien Institute.

Description This Scholarship is offered by Nan Tien Institute as one aspect of the broader program of ongoing support for the professional development of teachers, especially outstanding high school and primary teachers. It is offered annually to primary/high school teachers who want to pursue postgraduate study that will provide the skills and knowledge to support a holistic teaching practice and a deeper cross-cultural insight into Asia's history, arts, philosophies, religious and cultural practices.
Eligibility Applicants must be qualified professionals in the Education industry who are enrolling in a postgraduate qualification. The scholarship is available to Australian domestic students only.
