This qualification is part of the Textiles, Clothing and Footwear Training Package. It is for people who want an introduction to the basic skills and knowledge to prepare them for work in a creative and production oriented environment within the fashion and/or textiles clothing and footwear industry. Depending on the electives selected, students can specialise in one of the following: basic textile development and production, clothing development and production, or the development and application of embellishments to footwear. In a highly supervised training environment they will learn about TCF and the fashion industries, how to work safely and how to produce high quality products.
