Certificate III in Aquaculture

This qualification is part of the Seafood Industry Training Package. It helps you to develop proficiency in the skills required to work in an aquaculture enterprise. Students will acquire the practical skills required by a field hand, and the underpinning knowledge required to apply those skills in a variety of aquaculture specific workplace situations.

Entry Requirements:

No minimum education; Certificate II in Aquaculture

18 units: 4 core; 14 elective

Core: Communicate in the seafood industry; Work effectively in the seafood industry; Meet workplace OHS requirements; Apply quality systems and procedures or Apply basic food handling and safety practices. Electives: Slaughter livestock; Construct or install stock culture, holding and farm structures; Maintain water quality and environmental monitoring; Support hatchery operations; Oversee the control of diseases; Maintain stock culture, holding and other farm structures; Perform underwater work in the wild catch sector; plus more.
