This qualification is part of the Australian Meat Processing Training Package. It covers work activities undertaken by workers undertaking slaughtering duties in abattoirs.

No minimum education; Relevant industry employment

Structure:

12 units: 7 core; 5 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Maintain personal equipment; Apply hygiene and sanitation practices; Comply with Quality Assurance and HACCP requirements; Sharpen knives; Follow safe work policies and procedures; Communicate in the workplace; Overview the meat industry. Electives: Bed dress carcase; Operate brisket cutter or saw; Skin head; Stun animal; plus more.
