Queensland Agricultural Training Colleges

This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the conservation and land management industry. It enables a selection of units from Indigenous land management, natural area restoration, conservation earthworks or lands, parks and wildlife to create a general qualification as a job focus.

Structure:

12 units: 1 core; 11 elective

Subjects you can Study:

Core: Maintain WHS processes. Electives: Plan and supervise control activities on infected premises; Cost a project; Develop procedures to minimise risks in the use of chemicals; Present proposed courses of action to meeting; Contribute to the proposal for a negotiated outcome for a given area of Country; Plan the implementation of revegetation works; Process applications for changes in land use; Supervise landscape project works; Ensure compliance with pest legislation; Prepare acid sulphate soil management plans; plus more.
