Diploma of Production Horticulture

This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It reflects the role of personnel working on production horticulture farms. The qualification can be contextualised for a tree cropping, vegetable, berry or flower production or mushroom production context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed enterprises, both.

Electives: Monitor and manage soils for production; Manage a controlled growing environment; Develop a horticultural production plan; Design water treatment systems; Conduct environment and food safety risk assessment of plant nutrition and soil fertility programs; Market products and services; Implement a machinery management system; Prepare the enterprise for organic certification; plus more.

We also offer an alternate pathway for Year 11 and 12 students to achieve a QCE, agricultural certificates and CQUniversity study credit. Our partnership with CQUniversity provides a hands-on tertiary education.
