Bachelor of Communication - Digital Media / Bachelor of Information Technology

Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

This double degree increases career options across communication and information technology fields. The communication program prepares students for professional roles in the rapidly evolving communication industries. The program analyses and seeks new applications for mass and niche media operations as well as recently evolved areas such as social media. Students gain exposure to a broad range of communication literacies and local and international communication platforms through on-campus learning, international study experiences and engagement with world-leading research. Students will understand the importance of cultural diversity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, in national and globalised communications environments. In the information technology program, students explore a wide range of areas such as networking, software engineering, data warehousing, business process modelling, enterprise systems, information management, web technologies, or digital societies.
