At QUT, courses are designed with a balanced mix of theory and practical experience to ensure students are well-equipped for their chosen profession. QUT seeks the advice of industry, government and the professions, ensuring their degrees respond to changing employer demands, and reinforcing QUT's reputation as a university for the real world.
QUT's Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses are in the centre of Brisbane, with the Caboolture campus located in the rapidly expanding northern corridor halfway between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. All campuses are well-serviced by public transport.
The Gardens Point campus is located in Brisbane's CBD, facilitating QUT's relationship with business, industry and government, and is adjacent to the Brisbane River, City Botanic Gardens and Parliament House. The Science and Engineering Centre brings together teaching and research in science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines, provides cutting-edge social and collaborative learning spaces for students, and is headquarters to QUT's research Institute for Future Environments. The centre also includes a food court, retail outlets, a 50m FINA-standard indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and student bar.
At Kelvin Grove a modern urban village development integrates the campus with residential, retail, health and recreational facilities.
