Entry requirements

  • 1.5 year program - a recognised bachelor degree (or higher qualification) in any discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on QUT's 7 point scale). 1 year program - a recognised bachelor degree in any discipline with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on QUT's 7 point scale) and a completed recognised Graduate Certificate (or higher) in the field of Education with GPA of 4.0 (on QUT's 7 point scale)
  • or a recognised bachelor degree in the field of education with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (on QUT's 7 point scale) plus a minimum of two years full-time (or equivalent) relevant work experience in teaching or education. Students applying on the basis of work experience must submit a detailed CV, position details and employment statements.

Recognition

Early Childhood Teaching study area: Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

Study Pathways

Applicants with a Level 8 qualification in the field of education can be awarded advanced standing for up to 48 credit points, depending on the study area A. Students may exit with the award of a Graduate Certificate in Education once they have completed 48 credit points of appropriate units.
