Visual arts at QUT can help you find your niche in the burgeoning local art scene and beyond, by supporting you to define and shape your creative identity.Through our unique open-studio environment, you will focus on contemporary art practices without being divided into separate media-specific areas, such as painting or sculpture, as in traditional art schools. Practise art across a range of media including video, photography, installation, performance and printmaking, as well as painting and sculpture. This distinctive cross-disciplinary approach encourages fluid, self-directed investigation, crucial to your arts practice.
In order to complete this course, you must complete a total of 384 credit points, made up of 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Business and 192 credit points from the Bachelor of Fine Arts. You will undertake the two components of the double degree concurrently.

Before you start this course, we assume you have sound knowledge of the subject/s listed below. If you don't have the subject knowledge, you can still apply for the course but we strongly encourage you to undertake bridging studies to gain the knowledge:English, or Literature, or English and Literature Extension, or English as an Additional Language (Units 3 & 4, C)
