Landscape architecture is a critical part of planning and designing for a resilient and healthy future. This course provides you with the opportunity to develop and apply knowledge of integrated urban design practices, principles and approaches to address complex issues and work toward resilient environments. You’ll develop and apply knowledge of Indigenous Australian culture as it pertains to connections to country and decolonised design practices. The course also allows you to develop and apply knowledge of environmental change and social justice issues related to landscape architecture. You'll have flexibility to choose from a range of units to tailor your studies including research strategies, project management or planning and policy.

Standard entry requirements

  • A completed recognised bachelor degree (or equivalent) or higher qualification in landscape architecture or an allied relevant discipline
  • Or a completed diploma (or higher award) in a relevant discipline such as landscape architecture and three years' (full-time) experience working in a relevant field such as the natural or built environment
  • Or five years (full-time) professional experience working in a relevant field such as the natural or built environment.

Pathways to the Master of Landscape Architecture are available. Students may be able to claim advanced standing for part of their course, on the basis of completed or partially completed studies, and other assessable learning outcomes.
