This program is offered in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and is designed to build on the skills and knowledge of professionals working in fields related to and allied with intellectual property law by providing: deep and thorough knowledge of IP law, policy and practice relevant to IP professionals as applicable in the global environment, particularly in the Asia/Pacific region; competent research, written and oral skills underpinned by strong practical knowledge of IP law; the ability to apply relevant IP law, policy and principles in diverse national and international contexts.

Standard entry requirements
This course is available to law and non-law graduates. A completed recognised 4-year Bachelor Degree in Law plus work experience in the IP field as outlined on QUT's website.

Students may be eligible for up to 48 credit points of advanced standing towards this degree. QUT advanced standing rules apply. Graduates of the Master of Laws in Intellectual Property who meet the entry requirements will be eligible for entry to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
