Ramsden Telecommunications Training

This qualification is part of the Information and Communications Technology Training Package. It reflects the role of a new entrant into the telecommunications industry who can apply a range of competencies in a varied work context from installation to operation of telecommunications equipment and products. It has a generic outcome without a specialisation. When a specialisation has been selected then the qualification has one of the following outcomes: Cabling; Networking; Radio Communications; Rigging.

15 units: 6 core; 9 elective

Core: Use electrical skills in telecommunications work; Use hand and power tools; Install and test internet protocol devices in convergence networks; Follow work health and safety and environmental policy and procedures; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices; Work effectively in telecommunications technology. Plus electives.
