This qualification is part of the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation and Land Management Training Package. It provides an entry level occupational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production or cropping context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both.

Entry Requirements:

Entrants must be employed as an apprentice or trainee prior to enrolling

17 units: 2 core; 15 elective

Core: Participate in OHS processes; Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices. Elective: Apply chemicals under supervision; Carry out basic electric fencing operations; Install, maintain and repair fencing; Maintain properties and structures; Treat weeds; Observe and report on weather; Work effectively in the industry; Participate in workplace communications; Ride horses to carry out stock work; plus more.
