This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a range of well-developed hospitality service, sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

Established in 1980, Riverina Community College is a Registered Training Organisation which delivers adult education and training to the Riverina. The College has centres located in Wagga Wagga, Leeton, Tumut and Corowa. Vocational training is offered to individuals and businesses via classroom, distance, traineeships, one to one and skill sets delivery. Non-vocational lifestyle and leisure courses are also available. The College participates in a number of state and federally-funded programs, including the Inclusive Community Education Program (ICEP) for adults with disability, and the Community Visitors Scheme.
