This course focuses on leadership and management, leadership and change in a global context, innovative management and business ethics. Students will learn how to deal with complex issues, lead teams and make business decisions based on financial, marketing and human resources information. This course consists of a common core in business, major studies in management, and the flexibility to choose eight subjects from business or other disciplines including marketing, human resources, economics and finance and logistics.

Entry Requirements:

Year 12; Prerequisites: Units 3 & 4 - a study score of at least 30 in English (ESL) or at least 25 in any other English


The program consists of 24 courses (each 12 credit points) and includes: 8 compulsory common business core courses, 8 business discipline major courses, 8 flexible courses. The 8 flexible courses can be selected from three options: a second business discipline major (8 courses), a compulsory business discipline minor (4 courses) plus second minor (any discipline), a compulsory business discipline minor (4 courses) plus 4 electives. A second business major can be selected from: Accounting, economics, finance, financial planning, human resource management, information systems, international business, logistics and supply chain management, management, marketing.

Study Pathways:

Exemptions exist for graduates of programs including Diploma of Business Administration, Diploma of Leadership and Management, Diploma of Financial Planning, Diploma of Conveyancing, Advanced Diploma of Advertising, Advanced Diploma of Business (Public Relations), Associate Degree in Business, Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication, Diploma of Logistics and Associate Degree in Legal Practice (Paralegal).

Graduates will be employed in a range of professional, commercial, industrial and not-for-profit organisations. With appropriate experience, they can expect to advance to management positions, equipped with the confidence and capabilities to coordinate and lead individuals to realise business outcomes.
